Tracy's love of Science Fiction predates her Sci Fi stardom by decades. As a child, she was an avid reader and viewer of all things Sci Fi. The public-at-large first learned of Tracy when the Galveston Daily News ran a feature story on the youngest citizen ever to apply for, and receive, a library card at the historic Rosenberg Library. She was three years old.
Star Trek: The Original Series was a particular favorite, with Mr Spock her intellectual idol, and Ensign Chekov her girlhood crush. Tracy, the only girl in her local children's chess club was teased a bit, but is quoted saying Mr Spock's 3D chess playing made the game "cool" and helped stave off further ribbing.
Tracy was thrilled to land the memorable role of Gilora Rejal, the no nonsense Cardassian science officer on Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Gilora became a fan favorite due to the comically ill-fated romance she longed for with Chief Miles O'Brien, Colm Meaney.
The Superman Universe gave Tracy the unforgettable role of Cat Grant, the laser-tongued gossip columnist at The Daily Planet on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
Tracy greatly relished her next genre role of Immortal Cassandra, the Witch of Donen Woods on Highlander: The Series. She first appears in the Bronze Age, then Medieval Times, and lastly, the present, where the chemistry between Duncan MacLeod and Cassandra fogged the camera lens... and made the gag reel.
She followed this with the powerful character of Captain Elizabeth Lochley on the Hugo Award winning series, Babylon 5. She reprised the role on the Babylon 5 spinoff, Crusade, and three B5 movies: Babylon 5: A Call to Arms, Babylon 5: The River of Souls, and Babylon 5: The Lost Tales. Tracy voiced Captain Lochley in the Warner Brothers animated movie Babylon 5: The Road Home (2023), for a total of 6 Babylon 5 productions.
Tracy was once again a witch (having a great time) on the three seasons she starred on the hit LGBTQA supernatural soap opera, Dante's Cove. Journalists and fans alike commented on "how much fun she looked to be having." The series was filmed on location in Turks and Caicos and Oahu, Hawaii.
